Thousands of citizens across the country have called for Tunisia-style ouster of president Hosni Mubarak,

Protesters have been driven from Tahrir Square, where thousands were planning to spend the night. Police used tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. A freelance Al Jazeera English cameraman was shot several times, including once in the face, and had to be taken to the hospital.
